The King of Torts by John Grisham

Rating: 4 out of 5.

My Thoughts:

What I Loved: I continue to love this book year after year. I own it on audio and in book form, just so I can read it any way I want at any time. I love the idea of taking on a case that spins into something else entirely.

How I Felt: This book is full of mystery and some action. It kept me wanting more, turning the pages as fast as I could read.

To Read or Not To Read: I will always say read this book. However, if you are interested in legal thrillers, this will be more up your alley.

What’s This Book About Anyway?

Clay Carter is a public defender. He’s overworked and underpaid, and worn out. He takes on the case of just another random street killing…except that it wasn’t.

He digs into the case and finds that there is a huge conspiracy involving a huge pharmaceutical company. Winning this case could completely change his career, but can he do it?

Last Thoughts:

This book has always made me feel like I completely understand mass tort lawsuits. Which, I know, is completely untrue, but during the reading of that book, I feel like an all-knowledgeable lawyer!
