So, I’m not big into horror books because I scare easily, and I like to sleep peacefully, which I don’t do after a scary movie or book. So, instead I’m going to give you some fun kids books that I enjoy for Halloween!

This is one of our favorite Halloween books! Pookie is an adorable little piggie and he can’t quite decide what he wants to be.

If you haven’t read the Duck & Goose stories, you are missing out! Duck and Goose are a fun pair who are always finding ways to get into mischief together.

This is one of MY all-time favorite spooky kids books. We still have the copy that was mine when I was a child and we read it quite often. The illustrations are fun and the writing has some call and response repetition that makes my daughter love to answer. “Did they dare to go…” “Yes, they dared” This is said a lot, so children can say it with you when you read.

We stumbled across this book at a store, and I knew I had to have it. We have Goodnight Moon and read it a lot when the kids were a bit younger. This version is funny and has lots going on in the illustrations to keep the kids busy looking at the pictures!

I can’t possibly pick one specific Goosebumps book. These were about the scariest books I read as a kid and I still own them, which just shows you how much I loved them!
