For Now and Always by Genise Malone

Rating: 4 out of 5.

My Thoughts:

What I Loved: Genise’s writing managed to pull me into the main character’s story very quickly. I was surprised how invested I became! Eva, the main character is likable, but has faults and baggage which made her relatable. Her character development really made me invested in the story.

How I Felt: I was so pleased to see how quickly this book moved along. Chapters were written with focus and purpose, making each one enjoyable to read. I liked the main character Eva, and I really liked Roland, her love interest. Eva’s character has flaws, making her more interesting. One of those flaws is her willingness to let her ex back into her life. I found myself shaking my head at her, begging her to say no at multiple times in the story. You’ll have to read it to find out what happens though!

To Read or Not To Read: Anyone who loves romance books with a bit of erotica thrown in will love this book! It’s somewhat short as a novella, making it a quick, fun read.

What’s This Book About Anyway?

Eva has had some bad experiences with guys in her past. Her ex, Derek turned out to be married, leaving her a bit scarred from the relationship. She gets set up with Roland, who seems like he could be just the guy for her, except he lives in another state. They find they have a lot in common, and begin a long-distance relationship over the phone. Can this budding relationship turn into something that will last?
