The Letters She Left Behind by C.L. Walters – A Review

What I Loved:

I loved the mixture of romance and thriller in this book. I always enjoy when I book is more than just one thing and The Letters She Left Behind nailed it!! With a wonderful romance about reconnecting love, but a well-woven tale of conspiracy and murder, this book was awesome.

How I Felt:

The Writing: This is my first book by C.L. Walters, but it will not be my last. The writing just drops you right into the story. You can feel the world around you while you read.

The Location: I don’t usually talk about the setting of a book, but this one was so beautiful. The story takes place in Hawaii, and the setting is amazing. C.L. Walters lived in Hawaii and the descriptions are amazing. On top of enjoying the story, I thoroughly enjoyed the setting.

The Plot: With a steamy romance that envelops you into the relationship between the two main characters, this book definitely fills your romance needs. It has, however, an amazing plot surrounding the death of Megan, Adam’s wife. The thriller aspect of this story was gripping. There’s murder, a conspiracy, and mysterious letters. It was gripping.

Content Warnings:

There are some pretty steamy scenes in this one, so if you like a bit of a softer romance, this one might not be for you.

To Read or Not To Read:

I would recommend The Letters She Left Behind for readers that enjoy thrillers mixed with romance because this book had them both and I felt that the mixture was done so well it fits in both genres!
