Animals at the Office by Sarah Sommer

This book was adorable. As someone who has worked in an office her entire adult life, I found the characters hilarious, and so like what you find in an office environment. The kids loved the animals and found the story to be a lot of fun!

This story is about an alligator that is starting his first day at the office and tries to take the advice of his co-workers on how to fit in. He finds that each co-worker’s advice is just not a good fit for him, and to truly find his rhythm at the office, he needs to just be himself.

I really loved that while this is a story about an adult going to work, it was so easy for the kids to understand and relate to what is happening. They both truly enjoyed this book, and we have read it multiple times now because they continue to ask for it!

The illustrations are adorable. It looks expertly hand-drawn with bright, vibrant colors that made the kids want to inspect every detail!

Overall, this one was a lot of fun to read, and I enjoyed it as much as my little ones!

To Read or Not To Read:

I would recommend Animals at the Office for any young child. The message is easy to understand, and the story is quite a bit of fun!
