Alex Six by Vince Taplin

Rating: 5 out of 5.

This was a crazy, thrilling, all-encompassing ride! I loved it from start to finish! This is a thriller with a psychological aspect that was creepy, and I was entranced! I couldn’t put this one down!

The characters are very distinctly created. Vick is a bit off-putting at times. His inner-monologue had me laughing sometimes and cringing other times. He’s a bit crass, but also is clearly a smart, good guy who wants to do the right thing. Overall, I liked him. I think his personality made him stand out as a character and kept me extremely interested in what was coming next.

The pacing of the book was perfect. It’s told through two character’s viewpoints. Vick’s point of view is the current timeline. The other view has a bit of a lag to it. It’s always a bit behind the current timeline, and it’s perfect this way. It gives us a view of the story, from another perspective, and truly starts to shape the psychological thriller aspect. I loved it!

The plot is all about a stalker, but I liked how Vick gets integrated into Alex’s plan. As the plan gets crazier and crazier, I couldn’t stop turning the pages!

Overall, this is a great thriller! It’s exciting, fast-paced, and has a crazy plot that I really enjoyed!
