This story is perfect for readers that enjoy Vikings and Game of Thrones type stories and characters! It’s a prequel to the Raghnall series, but you could probably jump in here and not be lost.
I really loved Catherine. She is a sassy, feisty lady that doesn’t take crap from anyone! Reading her story was so much fun, and I’m excited to see how she gets from here to House Raghnall to make this story come full circle! Catherine is rescued after an injury by the Olden clan. They were surprising and full of a variety of personalities, and I enjoyed that the story was told through multiple POVs. I had the chance to get some great insight into other characters!
This plot isn’t quite as gory as previous books have been, but it still had its fair share of adventure and excitement…and some swoon-worthy romance! The Olden clan definitely gets into some trouble, and I easily fell into the story and lost myself in the book!
Overall, I loved this book, and I cannot wait to dive into the next story! The characters were amazing and well-developed, and the story was exciting and fast-paced!
