This story was a heartbreaking thriller creating such a wild ride of emotions from start to finish. I found this book a bit hard to read due to some content that I outline in my content warning section. It was, however, an excellent story that you won’t forget about.
The characters created in this story are really well developed. I thought that the author did a wonderful job of creating story arcs and personal growth, making me care about them. I liked that we really got to see different sides of the characters, offering some better insight into their actions.
The plot provided a crazy amount of twists that really kept me on the edge of my seat! It’s a wild ride but also filled with emotion. The writing is excellent, and created a story that I got pulled right into!
Overall, I think this was a great story that many readers will love! I would recommend reading this when you are in a strong emotional state, as there are parts that are difficult to get through.
Child abuse, child loss, loss of significant other, anxiety and depression.
To Read or Not To Read:
I would recommend The Secrets We Keep for readers that enjoy and emotional thriller with great character development!
