This is a wonderful book to teach children about table manners! I really enjoyed the fork superhero that leads the children in proper behavior at the table, and how to help clean up!

Forkman has a lot to teach this family about their manners. We learn how to properly load a dishwasher, but also about improper noises to be made while eating and electronic use.

The story is very easy to read and understand, and both of my kids got into it really easily. I have one overall complaint, and while it is not a big deal, I do think it is important for readers to know. When you start the story, it is in chapters, and we start this book on Chapter 3. I found it very confusing to jump in on a chapter that is not the start of the story. Truly, it didn’t matter, as we can understand what is happening without needing to read Chapter one and two. I would, however, have liked to see the chapters removed, or the entire story to be placed inside one book. This did not reduce the enjoyment of the book, but it did cause a bit of confusion as we opened and started to read.

Overall, this was a fun story with a great story to teach children. I would absolutely recommend this for young children. It should be read as an assisted reach for young children but could be read unassisted for a middle-elementary reader.

To Read or Not To Read:

I would recommend The Adventures of Forkman: What’s That Noise? for any child. It provides good information about how to properly behave while eating, which all kids can benefit from!
