This story is full of fun, laughs, dogs, and an evil shoe villain…what more could a middle-grade reader ask for?
Told through a narrator that grabs your interest right from the start, this is a book that is hard to put down. It’s light-hearted, but still managed to hit on topics of importance. I really enjoyed that this is a chapter book, but had create illustrations throughout the pages to help support the story.
This was a really fast read for me, but my son also read it and breezed through it. It’s well-written and has a story that engages the reader. I think it’s one that any young reader will enjoy, but those that like an adventure with bad guys and a humorous storyline will love it!
To Read or Not To Read:
I would recommend Shoe Wars for readers that enjoy stories like Captain Underpants with high-humor and fun illustrations!
