Our Moon Festival is a beautiful, bright, lovely children’s book that highlights the Moon Festival that is celebrated by many Japanese, Vietnamese, and Chinese communities. The illustrations are vivid, grabbing the reader’s attention at each page turn. The descriptions of the festival really create the atmosphere of the celebrations!
My children both enjoyed reading this book. They loved learning about a festival they didn’t know anything about. They both loved the illustrations, and wanted to absorb every inch of the page before I could move on!
This is a book that would be great for classrooms and libraries. I think there is so much to learn throughout the story, and I think it is a wonderful way to provide new experiences for children!

Yobe is an educator, entrepreneur and mom who lives in NYC. As an educator, she focused on teaching families to embrace love, diversity and different cultures. Through the years working in the classrooms and closely with other educators, she noticed the lack of multi-cultural resources that represented children of color. That is when Yobe decided to create multicultural children stories that feature Asian children, families and cultures! Yobe loves spending time with her daughter, reading to children and taking long walks during the day!
