This was such a magical escape into an underwater world of mermaids! Paradise Royale has a cruddy family that has adopted her, and they are awful! When they go on vacation to Italy, Paradise finds a way into a world of mermaids and mermen. While Aquaria is an escape for her, there are dangers lurking there as well…

This was a wonderful story that really brought the world of Aquaria to life through the pages. The world-building was really good, and will definitely capture the attention of a middle-grade reader! The story was fast-paced and full of exciting moments. I think this is a great one for any young readers that enjoy mermaids and fantasy!
