I have been reading books my entire life, and I have gone through stages of extreme reviewing, and times where I reviewed nothing (two kids, out-of-state moves, etc). I started consistently reviewing again in 2019. I created a Bookstagram, then blog, then Facebook, and Twitter. I found that I loved it so much!

I started noticing that all these bloggers and bookstagrammers had advanced reader’s copies of books, and I wanted them too! So, I started googling, and I found some sites. I have continued to research and find new ways to get ARC’s. I continue to see posts where bookstagrammers are frustrated trying to figure out how to get books.

The Business of ARCs Part III – NetGalley

I’ve really been enjoying my series on The Business of ARCs – How I Get My Books. You can read my previous two posts here. The Business of ARCs – How I get my books and The Business of ARCs Part II – How I get my books. I talk a bit about Netgalley in my first post, but I wanted to expand on it because there is so much to get out of the site and I wanted to share it.

So first, what is NetGalley?

NetGalley is a website that helps publishers and authors get their books into many reader’s hands. Many of the books are advanced reader’s copies or ARCs, but you will find some that are published works and the author or publisher is looking for reviews for the book.

The Business of ARCs Part II – How I get my books

After writing my post, The Business of ARCs – How I get my books, I received a lot of comments on how helpful it was. So, I’ve decided to make a part II, and there are definitely additional avenues I use!

Today’s post is going to focus on giveaways! Don’t close this reading window yet, I swear, there’s some good stuff in here.

Remember these giveaways can work just like publisher-provided ARCs. Once you receive a giveaway win, promote it, tag the publisher, and make sure to review it. Show the publisher what an awesome reviewer you are!
