This book is quite lovely. It’s a beautiful, heartwarming story of a young girl navigating through the grief of losing her butterfly.
I really enjoyed that this story features the importance of supporting those who may be grieving. Star realizes that while she was under a dark cloud and sad, others may be feeling that way as well. I liked the message that part of the story provided!

Well, I just absolutely loved this story! I am a sucker for some magical moments in a contemporary story, and this one definitely had that! It’s a journey of embracing grief and loss while finding who you are, and it was fantastic!
Katy and Carol with the best of friends, and also a mother and daughter. When Carol passes away, Katy is devastated. Rethinking everything about life, she tells her husband they need a break, and she takes off alone on an Italian vacation that was meant for her and her mother.

This was my first book by Christine Nolfi, and I found her writing to be captivating! She writes with such amazing emotion; you can’t help but become invested in the characters and the story!
The Passing Storm introduces the reader to Rae, a mother trying to cope after the unimaginable loss of her daughter. As Rae tries to heal and move forward in some fashion, we watch her work through her grief. She takes a chance on a young teen who needs help, and through him, we hope she can find forgiveness.

This was an absolutely beautifully written story of ghosts, grief, and self-discovery. I was blown away by the story. It was so much more than I expected it to be. The plot took me on such an emotional journey for the two main characters, and it was beautiful!
This is a story of two women dealing with loss. Emily, a woman in her 20’s lost her parents at a young age. Rather than handle her grief, she shoved it all down and focused on absolutely anything else to keep from thinking of her parents. Now a young lawyer, she has been assigned to catalog a storage room in a church. The church wants to sell their building, and move to a new location, but a law has placed them into historical building status. Emily’s firm is fighting for the church’s right to sell, and their case is with the supreme court. Emily starts her cataloging and discovers boxes of diaries from Elizabet Thomas, who died in 1935.
Elizabet Thomas went into her afterlife looking for her husband, who she lost too soon after their marriage vows. Rather than “go into the light”, she stayed behind at the church looking for him. After 80 years of searching, she still has not found him. When Emily begins reading her diaries, she finds new excitement in her life and becomes invested in Emily’s journey.
