One Week Queen by K. Leigh – Book Review

Rating: 5 out of 5.

What I Loved:

Berkeley, the main character, is the perfect character to make you believe in second chances. I loved how she struggled with the inner demons of her own making, as well as the ones from outside and beyond her control.

How I Felt:

When the first book in a series ends, I’m a bit sad because I have to wait for the second book, and I just want to know what that next part of the story is! I was so excited to get my hands on One Week Queen, the second book in The Robinson Sisters series. This book did not let me down one tiny bit! I loved it!

This book was beyond charming: Four Day Prince Charming by K. Leigh

Rating: 5 out of 5.

What I Loved: I loved the story line. From the moment Chandler notices Lexi, to the last page, I was just in love with the plot. It was a romance story first and foremost, but it was also a lovely story about family and caring for others and I just found all of it so captivating!

How I Felt:

Overall, I just loved this book from start to finish. The characters were easy to love. Lexi was a relatable character as a down-to-earth teacher and mother, and Chandler was the perfect famous guy who has this soft, caring hidden side.

The story was focused on the four-day trip to the Smokey’s, but there were these side stories that were so wonderful as well. Lexi’s two nieces are temporarily living with her while their mom (Lexi’s sister) is in rehab and I loved the bits and pieces that we got to see of Lexi’s sister. I’m very interested in her story, and luckily, she’s the lead in book two!

Chandler and Lexi’s relationship blossomed quickly, but also had a slow burn. I know that is a bit contradicting. While they seemed to have an attraction immediately, the story gave them time to get to know each other, allowing their relationship to spark at first and combust at the end.

Content Warnings: Descriptive consensual sexual scenes.

To Read or Not To Read: If you enjoy a romance story that gives you a strong plot as well as a love story, this is a perfect book for you!

Lexi Robinson is a single mom to her son as well as an Aunt and temporary caretaker of her two nieces. Stressed at the chaos, but loving her life, Lexi tries to do everything. She’s taking on her nieces, caring for her parents, watching her own child, and taking special interest in the kids at school that seem neglected.

When she wins Teacher of the Year and a 4-day trip to the Smokey Mountains, she is excited, but a bit nervous about leaving the kids. With her parent’s offer to take care of all three children, Lexi is free to go. Her sister has sent her off with parting words of wisdom: To find her Four Day Prince Charming.

Chandler, a famous actor, likes to keep his private life away from the masses. After spotting Lexi in a movie theater by chance, he decides she needs a vacation and he’s going to give it to her. He arranges her Get Away anonymously.

The four-day vacation that Lexi intended to spend reading and relaxing, turns into 4 days of new adventures outside and inside the cabin. After meeting Chandler the first morning, they both find an attraction that they were not expecting. With rules in place that this is for four days with no contact after, they begin to enjoy their time together. Can they stick to the rules of their agreement? When the trip comes to an end, will goodbye be enough?
