This book is a sequel to Finding Ruby Draker, and I would highly recommend you read that one before starting Shadows in the Aftermath. I think it could be read as a stand-alone, but a lot of exciting things happened in the first book, and you won’t want to miss it!

I thought this was such an interesting plot! It is filled with mystery, murder, and secrets! This story is told through Ruby’s perspective, and I really enjoyed the backstories that helped to shape the story. The story is centered in France, and I really enjoyed the location as well!
